Official Bronx County criminal records come from the agency or court that maintains them. This private site cannot provide, correct, seal, or certify those records. The routes below identify the proper New York City, Bronx court, and New York State offices for common requests. Because the Bronx has no separate county sheriff's criminal-records division or county jail, police reports go to NYPD, court files go to the appropriate clerk, city custody information goes to NYC DOC, and a person's own fingerprint-linked state history comes from DCJS.

This Is Not a Government Office. This is a privately operated reference site. It cannot retrieve or correct a criminal record, conduct an official record review, issue a certified copy, or accept a record-sealing filing. Contact the government office responsible for the record.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that matches the Bronx County record:

  • Court case files: use the Court Case Lookup resources or ask the clerk of the Bronx court that handled the case
  • Personal criminal history: request a fingerprint-based Personal Record Review from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), Office of Criminal Justice Records
  • Police and arrest reports: contact NYPD's centralized Criminal Records Unit or use NYC OpenRecords for a nonroutine FOIL request
  • Current city custody: use the NYC Department of Correction Person in Custody Lookup; the Bronx does not operate a county jail roster
  • State prison records: use the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Incarcerated Lookup
  • Record sealing: submit the required papers to the court that handled the qualifying case

For complaint and lost-property report verification, contact the NYPD Criminal Records Unit (Verification Unit), One Police Plaza, New York, NY 10038, at 718-610-8457. The unit accepts eligible requests online or by mail and returns records by mail or email; it does not offer public pickup.

For misdemeanors, violations, arraignments, and preliminary felony proceedings, contact NYC Criminal Court, Bronx County, 215 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY 10451, at 718-618-2400. The clerk line is 718-618-2460. Clerk offices generally operate Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For indicted felony case files, contact Bronx Supreme Court, Criminal Term, 265 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY 10451, at 718-618-3100. Its Central Clerk is on the second floor. The Bronx County Clerk Records Room at 851 Grand Concourse can be reached at 718-618-3356 for records within that office's custody.
